A warm, clean and comfortable place to call home.

Whether you are staying for a day or two or a whole week, a guest house is a great place where you can feel right at home. You get more value for money by making a guest house your accommodation of choice.

This type of accommodation provides a comfortable room -- all that you may need to rest and relax for another day of touring and exploring.

There is only one guest house in Reefton and it is the town’s largest accommodation provider. The Old Nurse’s Home is an inexpensive hotel-like lodging for short and long-term stays. It is ideal for all types of travelers – from individuals to couples to large corporate groups. There are 30 rooms available, which were recently renovated to exude the original 1940’s charm.

The wooden art deco building was originally built to accommodate the nurses of Reefton. Today, it has been tastefully refurbished to meet your modern needs. All rooms have linen and towel provided, are smoke-free and have central heating. There is also wireless internet in all bedrooms. You can choose between single rooms, twin rooms and queen rooms. A separate site called The Old Miners Camp has 20 king single beds in a mix of 10 single, twin and dorm rooms.

The facilities at this guest house include a large dining room and guest lounge, two fully equipped kitchens, BBQ and a courtyard, 4 shared bathrooms with hot water, commercial laundry facilities, free WIFI and a conference room. The Old Miners Camp has 3 kitchens, 3 loungers and 3 bathrooms, a TV, free WIFI and a pool table. It is a great option for larger groups and clubs.
