An historic tearooms & bakery operating since the 1870s, we open daily from 6am.   

Great for a coffee at any time of the day - we use Canterbury Hummingbird's Oomph, an organic, fair trade blend with a rich, sweet, nutty flavour.  

Our bakery produces a great range of tasty, quality products for you to try such as - Our pies - wild pork, bacon and plum sauce and venison and red wine casserole are two of our popular gourmet range - along with steak, mince and chicken varieties - Fresh bread, rolls, sweet buns, cakes, slices, muffins and scones made daily - Prepared food such as filled rolls, sandwiches, croissants and paninis, all made on-site and with our own bread products - Homestyle shortbread, one of our well-known specialties, now in chocolate chip and cherry flavours also  

Breakfasts are available from 6am, and our whitebait sandwiches (cooked the old fashioned way!) and giant toasted sandwiches are a must to try. Our hot food cabinet offers a range of fried and grill foods as well as our pies and toasties. We've a range of gluten free hot food, sweet products and meals we can cook for you.

Open daily from 4.30 pm we have a range of beer, spirits, wine, juice and snack food. When you visit you can enjoy a game of pool or snooker, browse through our library, on a Thursday during winter join in with a game of indoor bowls or on a Friday try your hand at the West Coast game of 45's (cards). The premises are also a mobile caravan parkover property.

Our café operates from 12 midday with a great range of homemade delicacies including our famous Wilsons pies. Café dining is available either in our dining room or you can relax in our beer garden. There are six beers on tap, espresso coffee and a large selection of liquors, RTDs, spirits and house wine. We have food to eat in or takeaway and we cater for vegetarian diets.
